FAQ's

What kind of therapy do you provide?

We offer a combination of cognitive discussion, followed by psychometric analysis if needed, and then coaching and counseling, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Family Constellation therapy.

When is psychometric analysis needed and in which cases?

Psychometric analysis is used to assess various psychological traits, such as personality, aptitude, and intelligence. It can be particularly helpful in identifying the root causes of certain behaviors and in developing a tailored treatment plan. We use psychometric tests when there is a need for a deeper understanding of an individual's mental and emotional state, often in cases involving complex psychological issues or when more precision in diagnosis is required.

What are CBT and DBT?

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It is effective for treating anxiety, depression, and a range of other mental health issues. DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with concepts of mindfulness and acceptance. It is particularly effective for individuals with borderline personality disorder, emotional regulation issues, and high-risk behaviors.

What exactly is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a specialized therapy used to treat emotional, physical, and psychological disorders, as well as unwanted habits and negative thinking. It is unique because it targets the subconscious mind, creating meaningful changes in thinking, feeling, and behavior.

Does hypnotherapy work?

Since 88% to 90% of our behaviors, thoughts, and emotions are driven by the subconscious mind, we must work at that level to reset unhelpful responses. Hypnotherapy allows us to do this by inducing a relaxed hypnotic trance. In this altered state of consciousness, we can make powerful suggestions and use hypnotic language, metaphors, and stories to form new neural pathways in the brain, altering how we think, feel, and behave.

Are there any dangers?

None. You will be safe and in a secure environment, simply relaxed and comfortable.

What is hypnosis exactly?
  • A state of deep relaxation in the mind and body.
  • A trance state that makes the subconscious mind receptive to positive suggestions.
  • A way to access your imagination and subconscious mind.
  • A state where you always remain in control.

We all naturally drift into a trance-like state when focused on activities like reading, listening to music, engaging in conversation, or daydreaming. Hypnosis is similar, but as the therapist, I guide you into a deep relaxation using imagery and hypnotic language, allowing your conscious mind to relax and your subconscious mind to accept positive suggestions.

What can hypnotherapy be used for?

Hypnotherapy can address a wide range of issues, including stress, anxiety, panic, phobias, unwanted habits and addictions (e.g., smoking, overeating, alcoholism), disrupted sleep patterns, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, fear of exams and public speaking, allergies, skin disorders, migraines, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It is also effective for pain management and enhancing performance in sports and the arts.

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

Even in a deep trance, you always remain in control. Your body's survival system ensures that you never lose control. You can still talk, move, and walk while in this state.

Is hypnotherapy suitable for everyone?

Hypnotherapy is suitable for adults of all ages. However, it is not advisable for those on psychiatric medication.

How many sessions of therapy will I require and how long do sessions take?

The number of sessions depends on the issue, how long you have had it, and your goals. Typically, clients see great results within 2-3 sessions, but a full transformation usually takes 7-8 sessions. Each session lasts between 2 to 2.5 hours.

What can I expect from a typical hypnotherapy session?

We start with a cognitive discussion to understand your needs and identify patterns and root causes of the issues. Through positive suggestions and affirmations, we release negative energies and blockages. We also work on changing your belief systems and overcoming negative emotions. Additionally, I may prescribe out-of-session work, such as listening to audios, practicing meditation, reading certain literature, and watching related videos. Some issues are resolved in 2-3 sessions, while others may require more.

What is Family Constellation therapy?

Family Constellation therapy is a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals uncover the hidden dynamics in their family or relationship that are affecting them in the present. It can reveal underlying family patterns and issues that have been carried over through generations. This therapy can lead to profound insights and resolutions, helping individuals understand and change dysfunctional family patterns and heal from past family traumas.
